One of the NFL’s most interesting games last season featured the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys. The Broncos won 51-48 after the two teams combined for almost 1,000 yards of offense.
They will clash on Thursday night in the year’s last preseason game, which will be played under quite different conditions.
So, even though Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Tony Romo, or Dez Bryant won’t be there, you will still see a number of players competing to fulfill their ambition of playing in the NFL.
Since the final 53-player roster for NFL teams must be set by August 30, Thursday’s game will have an impact on many players.
Even though the Broncos are 2-1 in the preseason, they would probably be delighted to avoid any injuries after Wes Welker suffered one against Houston on Saturday night.
The Broncos are prepared for a strong postseason run no matter how their game against Dallas turns out. Which set of players will be traveling with us is the only open question. Find out by visiting Cheapo Ticketing to get your tickets for the game.
Broncos Preseason Week 3 Recap
The Broncos lost the preseason dress rehearsal game against the Houston Texans after starting the preseason 2-0 with significant wins over Seattle and San Francisco.
The Texans scored a late touchdown and converted a two-point play to win the game despite the Broncos leading 17-7 at halftime.
The Broncos were less concerned about the defeat because the contest featured several crucial advancements.
Emmanuel Sanders made his Denver debut at last, and it was evident that Peyton Manning wanted to integrate him into the offense. This was a plus.
Sanders had five receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns by the time the game was over. Despite not wearing a uniform during the preseason before last Saturday night, he appeared to be incredibly fast.
The news was not all good, though.
After receiving a pass, Houston safety D.J. Swearinger hit Wes Welker, and the force of the blow forced Welker to leave the game. It was later discovered that Welker had his third concussion in the past 10 months.
Manning and Brock Osweiler, the quarterbacks for Denver, both tossed picks in this contest. Osweiler also didn’t perform as well as he did the week prior against San Francisco.
In the end, he only managed to complete four of his eleven passes.
News And Notes
DeMarcus Ware, the Cowboys’ newest acquisition at defensive end, wants to play his entire career for the team.
Ware admitted, “I assumed I was always going to be a Dallas Cowboy.” “That meant a lot to me, a lot. I put in good work for nine years and never imagined I would be fired.”
Ware is a classy athlete, no doubt, but if he also wants to win the Super Bowl, he might have found the right location.
One of the league’s top pass rushers, Ware is still a very good player. This year will be different because he won’t have to do it himself.
He has never played with another player who possesses the same athletic skills as Von Miller, nor has he ever been a part of a defense as talented as the one the Broncos field in 2014.
Ware ought to enjoy himself more this year than he has in the past, primarily because he’ll be competing for a title and winning.
