In vet’s waiting rooms, they show edu-taining videos on their digital screens. They tell of the horrors and discomfort of fleas, how they are gotten, how they affect the pet. Then, they sell the remedy for the pet and present products and methods for getting rid of the fleas around the house. 

Salons have been experimenting with different ways of doing the same thing. In many cases, they have various endorsements and sponsors, which means their content is very directed and deliberate. Needless to say, it gives the people waiting for something to do other than look at their phones, and it helps to sell products that people can buy right there using their phones. 

Displaying Appointment and Opening Times

Given that places like McDonalds are allowing people to make their orders on a digital sign, salons are trying a different thing with their in-house digital signs. In most cases, it is not about making that first appointment, but about making that follow-up appointment.

They are able to see when the hairdresser of choice is available and then put themselves into the selected slot and have the appointment texted to their phone as a good reminder. It is a slick and easy way of arranging schedules in the modern age.
